Comment by Katie-Jay Scott on March 3, 2009 at 2:03pm - Hi. one of our projects, Darfur Refugee Journalism might be a good fit for a partnership. Our new technology, CommKit (the first to be delivered on our March 21st i-ACT trip), will allow Darfur refugees living in camps in Eastern Chad to communication with the outside world. On our side, we will only need a log-in to a website on their side it's a physical "kit" of technology. The Refugee Journalist will be connecting to schools and communities - creating deep relationships - who can advocate for change in the region by shifting policy and including the voice of the refugee in international dialogue about the conflict. We also want the Refugee Journalist to be connected to more mainstream journalists, blog sites, and few others to get their voices out. I would love to hear more about Global Voices and how we could work together!
